Photoshop in Advertising

Today, most printed advertisements are being altered through Photoshop. “Airbrushing” is a technique used in Photoshop to liquefy and reconstruct, which also allows you to mold and shape figures as well as remove imperfections in the skin. This technique is mostly used in making the models look perfect as goddess.

I think its not fair to fool consumers that the image they see in advertising are real images. In my opinion, I think it's okay if it has only small retouches, but changing the structure of the face and the body is a very different change especially when advertising a product. In fact, what we see in advertising is not actually what they really appear. That's why most women strive for perfection. What they see in the magazines is what they also want to be and look like. The point of advertising is this, when you use this product, you will look like or be like this.No wonder that our perception of beauty is distorted.
